Access Control & Gates

Gates are an integral component to perimeter security. Our policy is to limit the points of entry to improve access control. Generally regarded as weak points in any secure perimeter, entry points are best managed in conjunction with electronic access systems.

BFH Sydcon are partnered with specialist Access Control company’s when confronted with this requirement. We prefer to consult with the Electronic specialists rather than pretend that we are the experts in this field.

Gates generally compliment the perimeter security fence, and can be manually operated or fully automated subject to budget and operational requirements. Properly functioning gates require experience, and the staff at BFH Sydcon can attest to that. On the Papua New Guinea project alone there were 42 gates ranging in width from 3m double leaf up to 9m, with various site specific requirements. We have also engineered and installed hinged gates with a total opening of 16m at 5 Waste Facilities in NSW.
