Challenge

To provide a physical security barrier that would accommodate a 14m fall across the site. One that was manufactured in Australia, engineered for Category D Cyclonic wind conditions, in a Hot Dip Galvanised finish to endure the severe corrosive environment. The product had to be exported, so it needed to be transported in the most cost effective way, into a politically unstable country that was less than helpful to the cause.

Like many other projects we've done abroad, our task was to establish solid working relationships with in-country contractors and to help and train them in the correct installation methods and practices.

Results

Given the challenging site conditions, and all of the other design criteria and logistics, the design solution was a simple one.

INFINITY Palisade is the perfect product. It articulates to follow even the steepest site. It packages well for export, and at 3.0m high offers a high security solution that will stand the test of time.

In addition, INFINITY's SMRTrail technology allowed the Client to upgrade the perimeter lighting at 1/5th of the cost of conventional inground conduits.

A very satisfied Client, a palisade first for Fiji, and an opportunity to impart some knowledge and provide the local people with new skills.
